Salam on Ella Street – Coming Together in Unity 

On 26 August, following the recent unrest in Hull, the Ella Street community came together for Salam on Ella Street — a celebration of our city’s diversity and a chance to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity.

Residents were invited to a tea party at Trinity Grove, where there was no shortage of tea, cakes, and good conversation! Joined by our neighbours from Pearson Park Mosque, the event welcomed over a hundred people who came to show their support, share stories, and stand together in unity.

It was a beautiful reminder that even in challenging times, kindness, connection, and community always shine through.
