Lighting Up Ella Street

On Monday 16 December, Ella Street came alive with festive cheer as residents gathered for our Lighting Up Ella Street celebration!

In true community spirit, neighbours ‘adopted’ trees along the street, decorating them with lights and baubles to spread Christmas joy. The evening kicked off with a carol sing-along starting from St Ninian’s Walk, winding its way down to Trinity Grove — switching on the lights as we went.

The festivities didn’t stop there — we were treated to mulled wine, hot chocolate, festive snacks, toasted marshmallows, and beautiful singing led by the brilliant Ruth Getz.

As part of our Christmas celebrations, we also held a gift appeal for Women’s Aid. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated toiletries and gifts — your generosity will bring warmth and support to those who need it most this winter.

What a night to remember!
